| Tenant | The parent company or brand. In Steer, all of an organization’s shops are housed under one tenant. A tenant may have one shop or hundreds |
| Shop | A physical service location (e.g., an auto repair shop). Each shop belongs to exactly one tenant |
| Shop Management System | The external software a shop uses for day-to-day operations (e.g., Tekmetric, ShopWare, Protractor). Steer integrates with these systems to sync customer and vehicle data |
| Campaign Segment | A filtered list of customers that a targeted campaign is sent to. For example, all customers whose lifetime value exceeds $1,000 |
| Marketing Type | The communication channel used by a campaign: Text (SMS), Email, Postcard, or Letter |
| Attribution Window | The number of days after a campaign is received during which an attribution event (e.g., an invoice, reply, or review) will be tied to that campaign as a success event. Configured per campaign via STEER_ATTRIBUTION_RANGE_DAY |
| Deferred Service | A service recommendation that the customer was presented with but chose not to proceed with (declined). The DAYS_SINCE_DEFERRED field tracks how many days have elapsed since the customer deferred |
| Service Due | A service becomes due when a vehicle reaches a configured threshold of days or miles since its last service. The threshold is set in Steer or the shop management system at the service level. DAYS_SINCE_DUE tracks how many days past that due date the vehicle currently is |
